$ dpkg -L libgnomevfs2-common | grep libfile.so
/usr/lib/gnome-vfs-2.0/modules/libfile.so
$ ldd /usr/lib/gnome-vfs-2.0/modules/libfile.so | grep stdc
libstdc++.so.5 => /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.5 (0xb7bb8000)
I think this package should depends on libstdc++5 to provide libstdc++.so.5

so.5
This is because ldd has a recursive behavior, this will show you the
real deps:
objdump -x /usr/lib/gnome-vfs-2.0/modules/libfile.so | grep NEEDED
The problem is:
NEEDED libfam.so.0
And on your system, libfam.so.0 probably depends on libstdc++5, but
that's a bug in the fam source package.
(I'm closing this bug.)
