I had a look, and I had a hard time understanding:
- where our Debian package is exactly built from (the URL is given, but
the origin wasn't very clear to me)
- what the canonical place of the ximian-artwork tarball is
- how the kde-look.org tarball was built
I think I understand how the Debian package was assembled. I'm still
working on the canonical place of ximian-artwork, but I've made some
progress. The origin of the kde-look.org changes are unclear to me:
- the README thanks jimmac and doesn't mention anyone else, yet jimmac
doesn't offer any tarball on his site, nor any license (he only says
that most icons are probably GPL or LGPL)
- the exact name of the person preparing the kde-look tarball is not
given
I'm under the personal impression that the additional icons were
downloaded from jimmac's site and copied in the tarball, and that would
be unacceptable.
If you have more information on the exact licensing of the additional
icons (for example a tarball from an official source), that would help
a lot, otherwise I'll discuss this with the industrial-cursor-theme
maintainer.
Bye,
