Hi,

I can confirm that this bug existed - I was having the same problem too. Some day (about a week ago) it stopped accepting my password.
As I'm updating my sid installation every few days so it could be that some dependancy caused that bug.

But: I tested again today and it is working properly again. Bug disappeared.
