Hi,

Is Yelp slow in general, or only for the help in a specific program? Do
you experience that starting Yelp is slower than a gecko browser,
Epiphany for example?

Anyway, I agree that the help should pop up really fast. If you need the
help, chances are that the program has let you down, and already pissed
off. Waiting for the help to load won't get you in a better mode.

For Yelp performance in general, there seems to have been some work
done, for example this upstream bug:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=342869
I think the cache extension referred to there is in the 2.16.x version,
maybe you can revisit this report when GNOME has landed in unstable or
testing?
