Package: metacity Version: 1:2.14.5-2 I experience the same error, happens about 1 in every 7 or 8 tries. My gnome-session version is 2.14.3-3. I am not running gnome-smproxy. I haven't tried the workaround mentioned by the original filer but will try it next time I experience the problem.
