Package: other
Version: N/A
EXAMPLE
You can see an example of my problem here:

DEBIAN VERSION
I'm running Debian Unstable.
SYMPTOMS
The corruption appears and dissapears intermitently. Doing things that
cause the affected texts to be redrawn sometimes fixes it for limited
zones and time, but it reoccurs soon. Within the same dialog some text
portions may be affected, some may not.
AFFECTED FONTS
Only TrueType fonts seem affected. Other types, such as Fixed, are
never corrupted.
AFFECTED APPLICATIONS
This issue only affects GTKv2 applications. Qt applications are not
affected. This makes me suspect this is an issue with a Gnome or GTKv2
related package, not with a common subsystem, such as Fontconfig or
Freetype.
Some applications seem to be affected more than others. Firefox 1.5
for instance displays corruption very seldom, and only in isolated
places (such as the "create new folder" button in the save file
dialog). The GIMP shows it in save/open dialogs sporadically. In some
progress windows (such as Synaptic when downloading packages) the text
switches back and forth between ok and corrupted very fast, as the
progress indicator advances. Some applications, such as xchm or
Sylpheed, show massive corruption in tree, text and list widgets.
CONFIGURATION
The configuration is the same I've been using a month or two on this
same system. Back then this problem was not present. I've recently
done a dist-upgrade, preparing for use of this system as my main
desktop system, which is when problems started appearing.
OTHER INFO
I have a GeForce4 MX video card and I use the binary driver from
NVidia. I used to dual boot Fedora until recently on this system, and
this problem did not appear under Fedora.
