Hi!
I use the propriatary nvidia driver on my laptop (because I need the
external vga capatibilities). My video card is gf4 420 Go 32M.
ii nvidia-glx 1.0.7174-3 NVIDIA binary XFree86 4.x driver
ii nvidia-kernel-2.6.14p7 1.0.7174-4+10.00.Custom NVIDIA binary kernel module for Linux 2.6.14
ii nvidia-kernel-common 20051028+1 NVIDIA binary kernel module common files
ii nvidia-kernel-source 1.0.7174-4 NVIDIA binary kernel module source
The cairo:
ii libcairo2 1.0.2-3 The Cairo 2D vector graphics library
ii libcairo2-dev 1.0.2-3 Development files for the Cairo 2D graphics
The X.org version:
ii xserver-xorg 6.8.2.dfsg.1-8 the X.Org X server
ii xserver-common 6.8.2.dfsg.1-8 files and utilities common to all X servers
My kernel is a vanilla kernel version 2.6.14 myself packaged (and
builded).
I have additionally to this kernel the nvidia and ndiswrapper module
(and suspend2 module).
Hope this help something.
However it would be good to have an instruction how to self build a
complex package like gtk (since it is splitted into many packages), so I
can test the most recent version of gtk cvs, and test the most recent
version of branche 2.6 (where it was working), and find the oldest 2.8
version and compare it each-by-each. Maybe I find the diff what its
broken.
I assume it would be a good idea to up the severity of the bug?
There aren't many of us affected, true, but for those that are affected
it's a very critical bug, it makes using anything GTK almost impossible.
