Bug#349703: gnome-terminal: display screwed when searching command history in secondary tab

I have bash set up to search command history when I type ^R. If I do
this and find a long command line (that went over the screen width) then
the second line of the command overwrites the first line on the
display, instead of going onto the following line.

>From then on the command line is screwed and it is very painful to edit
that command line.  I have attached a screenshot that hopefully
clarifies the problem.  The command line I searched back to is actually: 

ozengine ${HOME}/working/p2pkit/oz/ControlGUI.ozf -n keving_plab
--ozstoreticket=http://www.info.ucl.ac.be/~glynn/OzStoreTicket_plab
--nofingers

This problem seems to occur all the time in secondary tabs, if I just
have one tab I think I can still get something similar but don't know
how to reproduce (yet).
