Hi,

I'm trying to use libgtk2.0-0-dbg to debug galeon. Unfortunately I have some
problems:

 - libgtk2.0-0-dbg installs files in /usr/lib/debug/usr/lib/ whereas many other
   lib*-dbg libraries install files in /usr/lib/. I can work around this by
   setting:

export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib/debug:/usr/lib/debug/usr/lib

  but I wonder if there is a particular reason for this ?

 - libgtk2.0-0-dbg installs /usr/lib/debug/usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0.800.0
   but no libgtk-x11-2.0.so symlink. Therefore my LD_LIBRARY_PATH trick does
   not work (ld.so still uses the non debug GTK library). Compare with what
   the libpango1.0-dbg package does:

lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root     24 2005-08-19 06:14 /usr/lib/debug/libpango-1.0.so -> libpango-1.0.so.0.1000.0
lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root     24 2005-08-19 06:14 /usr/lib/debug/libpango-1.0.so.0 -> libpango-1.0.so.0.1000.0
-rw-r--r--  1 root root 581795 2005-08-17 18:03 /usr/lib/debug/libpango-1.0.so.0.1000.0
