I looked everywhere but could not find any feature for this:

The grid spacing seems to be hard-coded at some arbitrary unit that has nothing
to do with the template under use.  This essentially makes the grid useless for
any real work.  To be usefull the grid ought to be either a usefull division of
the template's usable size or, better yet, it ought to be user-adjustable.
