Bug#356059: gnome-terminal: --role argument doesn't have the expected effect

I would like to use gnome-terminal's --role argument to set the
terminal's window manager role (e.g., so that I can differentiate
between different terminals using devilspie). However, the --role
argument seems to be ignored. For example, if I execute `gnome-terminal
--role bottom-left`, I expect `xprop | grep -i role` to display:

     WM_WINDOW_ROLE(STRING) = "bottom-left"

Instead, I see the following output:

     WM_WINDOW_ROLE(STRING) = "gnome-terminal-4189-682578860-1141871062"
