Bug#345048: Interaction of this error with X server

I have seen the same problem on a system with nvidia graphic card 
GeForce2 MX/MX 400 when running with the proprietary nvidia driver. 
After changing the driver from "nvidia" to the open-source driver "nv"
in the X server configuration file, the problem disappeared.

X server: X.Org Debian 6.9.0.dfsg.1-6
NVIDIA driver: 1.0.8178
