Package: gconf2
Version: 2.14.0-1
Severity: normal
When shutting down Gnome from the "Log Out..." button in the panel, the user is provided a
window : Log out of this system now? You will be automatically logged out in 60 seconds.
Switch User/Cancel/Log Out." Until last week, this type of window could be bypassed with
the setting:
Desktop Preferences>Sessions>Session Options/Ask on logout
or
the log_out_prompt option in ~/.gconf/%gconf-tree.xml.
Now there doesn't seem to be a way to bypass this window. The user should be able to
logout without having to be prompted.
In testing this outside of gdm, I started the X Window System (startx) after logging in,
and gnome still prompted me with the same window upon logout. But when you select "Switch
User" in this environment without a display manager, obviously nothing happens.
