Bug#315926: xscreensaver still not stopped by totem 2.16 (unstable)

I use xcreensaver (for same reason others have explained) and totem
still does not stop xscreensaver.  I read that the gnome-screensaver's
dbus api is used to stop x, but I don't have gnome-screensaver
installed.  Could this be why xscreensaver is not stopped on my system?
