Package: totem
version : 2.16.2-2
Debian : Etch
$ which totem
/usr/bin/totem
$ dpkg --list totem
Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold
| Status=Not/Installed/Config-files/Unpacked/Failed-config/Half-installed

ii totem 2.16.2-2 A simple media player for the Gnome
desktop
When i'm trying to play a file .wmv totem say :
"Totem could not play 'file:///.....wmv'
The audio device is busy. Is another application using it ?"
When i try to play it anyway (click on the play button) it gives me this
error :
"The Application "totem" has quit unexpectedly.
You can inform the developers of what happened to help them fix it. Or you
can restart the application right now."
When i try to play thoses files with vlc i've got no sound, but the video
works.
When i try to play thoses files with mplayer i've got sound and video.
I'm using w32codecs from http://www.debian-multimedia.org/
$ dpkg --list w32codecs
Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold
| Status=Not/Installed/Config-files/Unpacked/Failed-config/Half-installed
|/ Err?=(none)/Hold/Reinst-required/X=both-problems (Status,Err:
uppercase=bad)
||/ Name Version Description
+++-==============-==============-============================================
ii w32codecs 20061022-0.0 win32 binary codecs
Maybe the problem is from thoses codecs
I think alsa is well configured, i'm running gnome without esd on a Debian
Etch (testing) with a 2.6.17-2-686 kernel .
NB : There is no problem with others files, just with *.wmv, and there was
no problem with previous version of totem.
Thanks
