Two ``problems'' here.. 
First the old file selector has a patch to add these bookmarks buttons for
Home, Desktop and Documents. Where the Documents directory doesn't necessarily
exist. 

Second these apps do indeed still use the old file selector, while most apps
use the new file chooser (gtk_file_chooser_dialog_new), so they get a somewhat
different widget then the other apps.
