Bug#291479: libgtk2.0-0: even with 980 files in a directory, save as is too slow

I am ready to ditch Firefox because of slow saving of files due to the 
activity of libgtk2.0-0.

The file save dialogue should not examine each existing file, only get 
their names, unless the user selects an option to examine the files (or 
even examine only a file name that matches the name of the file being 
saved).
