Bug#363947: libgtk2.0-0: Also applies to saving files from Firefox

Hi, I have previously reported taking ages to save files in Firefox to 
large directories (amongst other things) in bug #386149 which has just 
been closed, with a suggestion to file a bug against libgtk2.0-0.

If I attempt to save a file in a directory with a large number of files 
or navigate through a directory tree to find where I want to save a 
file in Firefox, it takes ages.

The routines should only obtain the names of files and names of 
directories, *not* read from each file, and only read from pre-existing 
files if there is a name collision when attempting to save a file (e.g. 
one may want to know the size and date of a pre-existing file before 
deciding to over-write it or not).

It should also be possible to create a new directory to save a file to.
