Package: gnome-power-manager
Version: 2.18.3-1
Severity: normal
There used to be a bug when you plug or unplug AC during hibernation,
and then brightness would not change when recovering with the status
changed with gpm not knowing, which was fixed a while ago (#375319).
The present problem is somewhat similar: when the laptop come back from
hibernation, the brightness is not restored to the level it was before
hibernation (AC status not changed during hibernation).
What happens is the following (all on AC power):
- brightness is at full power (configured so)
- gpm hibernates, kernel halts the laptop
- powering on the laptop, the brightness is set to lowest level (I
changed the default with the sony-laptop kernel module)
- kernel resumes from hibernation
- that's all.
I'd expect the latest step to be something like:
- If brightness different from what it should be according to gpm
setting, set brightness.
I didn't check, but I guess it would all be the same if the gpm
configured brightness was, say, half bright on AC, and default laptop
brightness at boot would be full.
