I just used debootstrap to install debian unstable and added
#!/bin/sh
schroot -c sid -p -q -- "$@"
as /usr/local/bin/sid so that normal users can run unstable programs
simply by prefixing the command with "sid " (/home is bind mounted
inside the chroot so this is all totally transparent to them). This
works even with mozplugger that embeds evince window inside iceweasel
window.
(Just for the record the /etc/mozpluggerrc entry is
application/pdf:pdf:PDF file
application/x-pdf:pdf:PDF file
text/pdf:pdf:PDF file
text/x-pdf:pdf:PDF file
repeat noisy swallow(evince) fill: sid evince "$file"
)
