I'm using Ubuntu. Perhaps that patch is why things changed for me. I can
definitely confirm that at the moment, a desktop file without the .desktop
extension is rendered with the data from the file, but opens in a text editor.
This is inconsistent and confusing. It should render as a text file if it is
going to open as one.
