Same here. I upgraded from ekiga 2.0.9 (purge) to ekiga-gtkonly 2.0.11
when it landed in the testing distribution.

I'm guessing it has something to do with gconf. I learned a very little
bit about gconf while troubleshooting this problem. What I noticed was:

    * /schemas/apps/ekiga & /apps/ekiga seem to always be present even
      when I try to remove them (gconftool --recursive-unset) and I
      don't know where they come from
    * Clearing out in the same way but for ekiga-gtkonly (which works)
      and starting ekiga fails as reported
    * "gconftool
      --install-schema-file=/etc/ekiga-gtkonly/ekiga-gtkonly.schemas", I
      see the /schema/apps/ekiga-gtkonly & /apps/ekiga-gtkonly entries,
      and starting ekiga fails as reported
