Bug#457566: gnome-power-manager: power button "ask" menu does not implement suspend properly

Package: gnome-power-manager
Version: 2.20.2-1
Severity: normal
On my Dell latitude C610, suspend and hibernate work well if
chosen from the System
menu or via the suspend hotkey.
Also, if via the GPM preference I change the action associated with the
power button to be suspend, then the power button correctly puts the
machine into suspend.
However, if I have the power button preference to be "ask", pushing the
power button brings up a menu. From this menu, I can choose suspend, but
it does nothing.
How to replicate the bug:
1. Set the GPM preference for power button pressed to be "ask" via the
General Tab of System -> Preferences -> Power Management
2. Push the power button
3. Choose the menu option "suspend" from the dialog box.
Observed action:
The system does not suspend
Correct action
The system should suspend
Because suspend works well when executed via alternative methods, the
problem is not actually with suspend, but is due to the action defined
from the
power button dialog box.
