I think a better solution would be to  replace the
"Depends:totem-mozilla" by
"Depends:totem-mozilla|gxineplugin|mozilla-mplayer|mozilla-plugin-vlc"

totem-mozilla would still be installed by default, but users could
manually choose what plugin they want.
