Hi,

There have been quite a lot of development of gnome-screensaver and related
infrastructure since your report. If I'm not mistaken, on a default GNOME 
desktop, gnome-power-manager activates and locks the screensaver when 
suspend/hibernate takes place. 

Does this solve the problems you describe in the bug report?
