Package: gnome
Version: 2.14.3-4
Severity: normal

After iceweasel was installed over firefox, I wanted to replace the new
icon in my panel: /usr/share/pixmaps/iceweasel.png (symlinked from
firefox.png) to the old (Debian) firefox logo
/usr/share/pixmaps/iceweasel.xpm.

While selecting the icon from the launcher properties menu shows the new
icon in that menu, it didn't change the icon on the panel. creating a
symlink with a different name iceweasel-old.xpm to iceweasel.xpm and
selecting that one did work.

So it seems that the gnome panel cannot handle multiple icons with the
same name but different extension.
