 Where did you post?  Please include links to your message in the

 Please file a bug report if you want us to look at a patch; it gives a
 better workflow than tracking individual emails.  You can either file
 your proposed change against Debian or against upstream (preferred).

 Please mention that in the bug report too.

 You can file an upstream bug at bugzilla.gnome.org against the
 component you're patching, here metacity.  The upstream developpers
 will review and comment on your patch as time permits.
