Bug#432628: Brasero and depends/recommends on hal

Hi!

As Adrian suggested, hal is now only recommended by brasero. However,
I can't use brasero without hal here.
With hal disabled, I get this:

There is no drive to select to burn a CD, while with hal running,
brasero displays and let I select the drive to burn the CD.

Do I have a misconfigured system or hal is really needed by brasero?
