Package: gnome-applets
Hi,
It seems that for some reason the battery charge monitor applet
(/usr/lib/gnome-applets/battstat-applet-2?) is only looking at the
battery status, and based on that decides if I'm on battery or ac power.
It seems to do that based on the charging/discharging, which isn't the
same thing.
Instead it should be checking ac_adaptor
(/proc/acpi/ac_adaptor/AC/state) to check that.
I'm currently using version 2.18.0-4, but I've been seeing this problem
for a long time.
PS: There now seems to be a gnome-power-manger, which seems to do it
correctly.
