 Hmm; what's /etc/defoma/config on your system exactly?

 It's supposed to be a directory, and multiple packages shipping the
 same directory is certainly permitted.

 On my system:
gs-common: /etc/defoma/config
libpango1.0-common: /etc/defoma/config
libpango1.0-common: /etc/defoma/config/pango.conf
x-ttcidfont-conf: /etc/defoma/config
x-ttcidfont-conf: /etc/defoma/config/x-ttcidfont-conf.conf2
