Hi
What is the reason for the new dependence on gnome-screensaver for
gnome-desktop-environment? Since xscreensaver is older and more tested,
and the old users have this screensaver system installed and running,
this dependence is bad.
I think who the screensaver package should be a recommended package, but
never a required, because can generate conflict if twice screensaver
systems are active. In my case, i can't lock the desktop with the applet
because invokes gnome-screensaver (Disable on config). And, now, with
gnome-screensaver uninstalled, the applet works OK, but, dependences get
me to remove gnome-desktop-environment (Installed OK without screensaver
but changed on the last update).
I think who this is a dependence for considerate.
Please CCme because i'm not registered on the mail list.
Thanks.
Er_Maqui.
