Bug#416913: GKSudo's `dimming the screen` visual looks corrupted

Package: gksu
Version: 2.0.0-1ubuntu3

When GKSudo dims the screen the effect produced is nowhere near a nice
and smooth fade it should produce. Instead I get several shades of
colored boxes. That result in a half-dimmed desktop and a gksu window in
the center, as should be. Same for fadeout. Tested on Edgy and Feisty,
nvidia Geforce2 440MX and ati Radeon 8500 AIW (open and proprietary
drivers, with and without Beryl).
Not crucial to functionality, but annoying visually. Extremely.

Ubuntu Feisty 7.04b
2.6.20-13-generic #2 SMP Sun Mar 25 00:21:25 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux
