Bug#422401: adding a Custom Application Laucher to a gnome-panel results in an "invisible" entry

When adding a Custom Application Laucher to a gnome-panel without
choosing an icon results in an practically invisible entry. I realized
this because i couldn't move other panel-entrys above the place where
the newly created entry should have been. If i am very patient and can
hold my mouse very still i can "catch" the icon - which is apparently as
large as one pixel - and remove it (or add an icon).
