What do you mean by "ugly"? Do thumbnails get so when downsized to 64x64
for display?

If so, I'm interested to see a difference between before and after your
patch. This could also mean there's a problem with the downsizing code.

Your patch will make things ugly for people using a high resolution. If
we're to change the thumbnail size, I'd be inclined to set it to 128,
which should downsize fine to 64.
