Yes, evince 0.9 shows the same problem.

I should mention, however, that evince 0.8 on my laptop - running a
near-identical installation - does *not* show the problem.  I would
therefore not be at all suprised if the problem were down in
gnome-print or CUPS.  The only relevant difference I can think of is
that the laptop has the hplip and hpijs packages installed and the
desktop doesn't.  [I would like to get rid of hp* on the laptop, they
make printing ridiculously slow, but ...]
