In this case, it is possible, if nautilus-dbg is installed, to attach
gdb to a running process:
gdb /usr/bin/nautilus <pid of the hanging process>

(gdb) thread apply all bt full

Certainly not. Anyway nautilus-dbg depends on nautilus.
