Bug#427406: No more mouse/keyboard-input possible after closing crashed application

Original bug report:

Hi,
I can reproduce this now. It seems to be the result of a broken icon
file (attached), installed by autopackage [0].
Reproducing it is only a matter of;
* Dropping the file in /usr/share/icons/hicolor
* Generate the icon cache using GTK+ 2.10 (2.11 refuses to create
the cache, complaining about a bad image index)
* Restart metacity and invoke metacity-dialog.
As the faulty image have been fixed in autopackage, and
gtk-update-icon-cache doesn't create bad cache files anymore, do we
consider this fixed now, or should I forward this upstream?
