Bug#441856: nautilus: crashes when opening a particular FTP folder

Whenever I try to open ftp://ftp.kernel.org/ (with anonymous login)
from nautilus, it freezes for a moment and then crashes. I haven't
found any other ftp site that causes this problem, and the programs
ftp and iceweasel handle it fine.

Interestingly, opening ftp://ftp.kernel.org/pub/ doesn't cause a
problem, unless you then click on the 'Up' button.

I can't get a backtrace due to a bug in gdb (#425838) but the file
nautilus-debug-log.txt ends with the following entries:
