 Please note that wxgtk 2.6 has internal bugs relative to memory
 allocation; these might be fixed in the new 2.8 series, but we don't
 have these in Debian, and it's not worth fixing 2.6 if it's already
 fixed in 2.8.

 You might be able to workaround with G_SLICE="always-malloc" in your
 environment.
