Bug#443574: Several applications crash after migration from 2.10 to 2.12

I was wondering why all my normal applications have suddenly some really 
strange behaviors...
Icedove : crashes at start, reseting toolbars layout solves the problem. 
Unable to right-click on toolbars without crashing the app.
Iceweasel : the "save as" popup window crashes the application
Xarchiver : crashes at start
vlc with wxwidgets interface : crashes at start

And it's incredible, but downgrading to gtk 2.10 solves all these 
problems. I put this bug in Grave level because the X layer is somewhat 
unusable...
I can give you a lot of backtraces if you want to.
