Bug#474875: inconsistencies of dependencies between gnome and gnome-desktop-environment

Hi.

There seems to be some quite interesting inconsistencies between the
gnome package and gnome-desktop-environment.

One of them is that the current version of gnome depends on
epiphany-extensions, while gnome-desktop-environment depends on
epiphany-browser | gnome-www-browser.

The latter would allow the user to install only iceweasel, for instance,
but trying to remove the epiphany packages installed breaks the
installation of gnome, uninstalling a lot of packages, unfortunately.
:-(

Perhaps this particular dependency could be a Recommends:? According to
the Policy section 7.2:

Recommends

    This declares a strong, but not absolute, dependency.

    The Recommends field should list packages that would be found
    together with this one in all but unusual installations.

I think that this would allow more flexible installations without
problems for those that want to keep their systems with extra software.
