Bug#480384: gnome-panel hangs when clicking calendar if evolution is setup with a calendar

Hi,

I'm having a similar problem and I found out that (for me) it is
related to my use of evolution. I have a Google calendar setup in evolution.
If Evolution is started, the calendar applet works fine (and shows my
calendar data) but if evolution is not started (but a calendar is
configured as active) then clicking on the calendar causes the complete
gnome-panel (including the status bar at the bottom of the screen) to
be unresponsive. I found out that deactivating the calendar in evolution
(e.g. Open Evolution -> Select Calendar -> Remove the mark before the
active calendar) works around the problem.
