Bug#509738: Calendar popup positioning 'wrong' if the panel is at the bottom of the screen

With the panel set to the bottom of the screen if you open the calendar
popup it covers the clock button on the screen providing no way
of dismissing the popup withoutmoving the popup (which doesn't have a title
bar).

Additionally it does not correctly reposition when task or appiontments
are expanded, or changed. Someof this was reported in bug #444730
but I cannot apply that patch against 2.20.3 due to changes in variable
visibility.

I have a patch whcih I will send later which solve the base position
problem - but  not the resize isssue.
