Hello,

it is:

~$ ls -la /usr/lib/libGL.so.1
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 15 2008-02-22 09:34 /usr/lib/libGL.so.1 ->
libGL.so.169.09

~$ ls -la /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/libglx.so
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 16 2008-02-22
09:34 /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/libglx.so -> libglx.so.169.09

that is Nvidia GLX.

(IIRC it was crashing as well with the xorg nv driver instead of nvidia
in my xorg.xonf, but with the same libraries I am afraid..)

(But why would it crash running it as a unprivileged user but work fine
running it as root?)

Thanks!!

            Peter
