Well, actually, there were a lot of updates since the bug report and by now
I can't reproduce this anymore (I'm on unstable).
But I suspect a conflict between config files (I had dist-upgrade from
stable at that time). Once all gnome config files removed, the bug
disappeared. But may be this is also the result of an update, I am not sure.
File renaming is a crucial functionality of a file manager, and we would

Yes, I'm thinking the same thing, that's why I've posted the bug :-)
