Bug#488551: totem-xine: "next chapter" button does not skip unskipable chapters on DVD

It used to be possible to skip the trailers, FBI warnings and such from DVD by
pressing "n" (next chapter), however this functionality is gone now.

This is clearly a cripleware against the user control.

The closest thing I could find on Internet is this Ubuntu bugreport:

Could anyone explain why this "feature" is still in 2.22.2 and in Debian?
