Bug#467197: gdm: GDM no longer start automagically on Lenny

I am experiencing the same behaviour, the GDM init script :

  root at debian:~# /etc/init.d/gdm start
  Starting GNOME Display Manager: gdmroot at debian:~#

Starts fine calling the /usr/sbin/gdm directly, so the problem is in
the initscript.
