Bug#469766: gnome: dependency problem with evolution

Package: gnome
Version: 1:2.14.3.6
Severity: normal

I recently tried to purge Evolution. I don't use it and it is a
200MB+ disk hog. The package manager Synaptic told me that I can either
have Gnome with Evolution or no Gnome at all. Just to try if it really
meant it, I purged Evolution and ended up without Gnome as well.

Does Gnome really depend on Evolution, or is this a balls up at the
packaging farm - or is it a bug in Synaptic?
