Bug#479778: libgtk2.0-0: Open dialog very slow

Hi,

I am not 100% sure this bug should be reported against libgtk2.0-0, please
do not hesitate to move it.

In some circumstances (which I cannot identify), the GTK open dialog is **very**
slow.
It does happen with every GTK application I have tried (evolution import dialog, 
The GIMP open dialog, Iceweasel "open file" dialog etc.).

It also causes some applications to be very slow to open (like gthumb or
gnome-appearance-properties).

Closing the GNOME sessions and logging in again does solve the issue, temporarily,
until the problem happens again afew minutes/hours/days later.

I cannot see any way to debug this as I cannot see any warning or error when starting
an application from the console.

Is there any further information I could give for you to understand the issue?
