To debug your problem, we need the following information:
      * /etc/X11/xorg.conf file
      * /var/log/Xorg.0.log (replace 0 by your DISPLAY if different)
      * kill gnome-screensaver, start gnome-screensaver --debug, and
        send the /tmp/gnome_screensaver_debug_* file
